About Allison Senanayake

As NDTC’s Associate Director of Strategic Partnerhsips I contribute to the organization’s fundraising capacity and help solicit major contributions, including through event planning and relationship management in concert with the CEO, Director of Development, regional fundraising consulting teams, program directors, and National Advisory Board members. Prior to this role, I lead operations for NDTC’s flagship staff training program, Staff Academy, a cohort-based program that recruits, trains, and connects diverse campaign staff to paid career opportunities in Democratic politics. I developed detail-oriented project plans, bolstered cross-team collaboration, managed a wonderful full-time staff member, and hired consultants to ensure the successful logistical coordination of each program. Before joining NDTC, I earned a degree from DePaul University where I served in student leadership positions to advance the university’s community service efforts spanning the greater Chicago area. I lead a cohort of volunteers to L’Arche Chicago where we cooked meals and shared stories with one another. I loved my time with L’Arche so much that I am still engaged as a regular volunteer with the organization today.
