Background

About Allison Strupeck

The foundation of my career was in news reporting, followed by many years passionately moving the needle in the public sector. Through this professional journey, I proved equal acuity with the big picture and the small details. Each time I applied my skills in a new setting (media, education, public safety, and city government), I met the challenges and established a stand-out reputation among peers, colleagues, supervisors, and the communities I served. My dedication has repeatedly produced positive, measurable results. And most importantly, I've had a heck of a lot of fun along the way. I lead while I learn, every single day. I'm a communications pro with 20+ years of proven experience and the following skills- Strategic planning and communication - Media relations - Writing for external and internal audiences in varied formats (publications, web, social, legislative, training, curriculum, news articles, video/PSA, presentations, speeches, and speaking points)- Public/community relations with diverse audiences and partners - Program development, budgeting, management, and measurement - Branding and visuals - Presentation development and delivery, including numerous presentations for national, state, and local conferences and programs - Analysis and translation of complex information into organized, compelling deliverables - Working on deadline in busy, high-energy environments - Supervisory and interpersonal skills
