About Allysa Rowat

I believe all peoples should have equal access to all levels of health care. I am a strong advocate for trauma-informed care. My framework of practice is derived from anti-oppressive, person-centered, strength based approach. I want to bring creativity, compassion, and empowerment into every work and personal environment. As I continue my professional journey, I like to think of my social work practice as one big learning experience that is continuously enhancing my personal growth and love for knowledge. My approach to working with individuals is based in a mutual working relationship. I aim to create a culture based in dignity and respect. I see people as having many strengths, competencies, beliefs, values, commitments and abilities that will assist them to change their relationship with the barriers in their lives.
