About Allysa Welsh

My name is Allysa Welsh. I am a graduate of Gannon University's 5-year accelerated Occupational Therapy Master's Program. I obtained my NBCOT certification and Virginia state licensure in July 2015, and West Virginia licensure in July 2017. I am currently employed with Shenandaoh SOUNDstart, LLC full time and Grafton Integrated Health Network 2 days per week. My recent position with Shenandoah SOUNDstart, LLC involves private pediatric sessions ages 0-21. With Shenandaoh SOUNDstart, we are a family-centered practice and families are encouraged to attend and participate in therapy sessions. I currently work full time and current caseload focuses on ages 1-15. Evaluation assessments regularly used include Beery VMI, Peabody, BOT-2, GOAL, THS, and Sensory Profile-2. In addition to Shenandoah SOUNDstart, LLC, I work at Grafton Integration Health Network 2 days per week. I provide school-based services for the older children ages 15-22. Prior experience includes school based services to students pre-k through 12th grade for school throughout Frederick County, Virginia, Westmoreland County, Virginia, and Jefferson County, West Virginia. Additional experience include private school settings in the Richmond, VA, In addition to working in the school system, experience includes home health services for pediatric and adult clients as well as providing sensory and behavioral consultative assistance at a day center for adults with disabilities.
