About Allyson Krone

I am currently an administrator at High Tech High School, starting in the Hudson County Schools of Technology District at twenty-one years old, right after college. I began my career as an English teacher and then supervised and grew one of the pioneering academies in High Tech High School, The Academy of Architecture and Contemporary Themes (AACT). AACT is expanding this year and tripling its size to become the Architecture and Engineering Academy, part of Force 21 program. I later moved on to become the Assistant Principal of High Tech High School, focusing on curriculum and career and technical academies, or “schools within a school.” I am also a professor at New Jersey City University where I teach writing courses to students preparing to become educators. I strongly believes that interest drives learning, which is why students at High Tech choose their courses of study. I work diligently to make High Tech a safe a welcoming community where students are challenged academically, technically and creatively.
