Background
About Allyssa Schweisthal
Prioritizing individual interventions to promote overall well-being, I have used trauma-informed and accessibility-focused academic coaching to provide academic advisement, craft appropriate educational and environmental accommodations, responsively and respectfully address common barriers to success, and ultimately provide multivariate support to students as they progress towards graduation. In addition to my work with students, I developed and delivered training and education materials for community and faculty orientations and supported our admissions team as a traveling speaker and recruiter for underserved populations. When I'm not coaching or training, I am teaching. My life-long passions for math, science, and psychology have primed me to share content and skills in each discipline with students in the classroom.
