Did graduation in Mech. Engg.from Z.H. college of Engg. & Technology, AMU ALIGARH in 1980. Joined 25th Batch of BARC training school. In 1982,after training, first posting at Rajasthan Atomic Power Station-1 & 2 as Operation field engineer for Power Plant Service Systems & Nuclear Services Systems and then Nuclear & Conventional Systems in shift Operations. In 1987, joined the commissioning team of the First Indian 220 MWe Pressurized Heavy Water Reactors at Narora Atomic Power Station (NAPS), did process commissioning of Remotely Controlled On Power Fuel Handling Systems and was instrumental in the solution of various system problems. As first Asstt. Shift Charge Engr.(FHS)(Licensed Shift Supervisor), supervised the initial refueling operations. Subsequently obtained the level-II License of Asstt. Shift charge Engr.( Shift Supervisor).and supervised the safe operation of Units. In 1995, went to Rajasthan Atomic Power Station-3 & 4, Carried out initial set up of O&M and operation group. Commissioned plant services, water systems, TG & feed water system of RAPS-3. Acquired level-I License of Shift Charge Engineer for Station Operation and achieved early stabilization of units.Further worked as Senior Operation Engr. & Senior Tech. Engr.(Conventional Systems). Resolved initial comng. & operational problems to achieve high capacity factor at early stage. Suggested & implemented various commissioning schemes to reduce the project schedule. In Feb. 2002, selected for the Commissioning and O&M Team of first 540 MWe TAPP-3 & 4 as ENC (O)/OPERATION SUPTD.(Op. Manager),established operation group. Co-ordinated the commissioning of water & service systems, Moderator & Auxiliaries system, Reactor Auxiliaries system and TG systems. Achieved zero downgrading of Heavy Water in Moderator System and highest ever IP. Early completion of commissioning activities helped in TAPP Unit#4 first criticality within five years and first synchronization in three months after that.
