About Alon Ginatt
I am a computational biologist interested in developing and applying novel computational approaches for answering and illuminating various complex phenomena concerning the environment, agriculture and biotechnology. Specifically, I am keen on applying Machine Learning approaches to predict the function of complex systems of biological importance. My current research concerns big-data analysis for characterizing the microbial interactions taking place in agricultural soils, aiming to decipher the conditions supporting beneficial microbial groups. Throughout this study I have gained highly valuable experience in conducting an independent biological-computational research, asking critical and hard questions, both alone and as a part of a team.
