About Alona Gorbatenko

With a background in International Relations, Intelligence, and International Security, I bring over a year's experience in conflict stabilization and peacebuilding at DAI. My mission is to contribute to the fortification of global security and stabilisation of the international community through strategic program management and proposal development, aligning with DAI's commitment to sustainable solutions in challenging environments. My expertise in Ukraine politics and trilingual fluency in English, Ukrainian and Russian enables me to navigate diverse cultural landscapes, fostering a collaborative ecosystem within the organization. My role at DAI involves managing a £1.2 million FCDO ISF IPCP cybersecurity program in Indonesia, where I have leveraged my skills in programme management. Other efforts, focused on Ukraine, have required intensive scoping, research, commercial strategy, and partner relationship management. My previous experience with the Embassy of Ukraine has been instrumental in understanding the geopolitical dynamics essential for creating impactful proposals and contributing to our team's success in bid development.
