About Alper Gezer

I am a trade and commercial professional with over 8 years of experience in container shipping, covering trade management, pricing, yield optimization, and key account sales across international markets. Currently working as a Senior Trade Executive, I focus on optimizing trade performance and profitability through yield management, pricing strategy, capacity utilization, and close coordination with sales and operational teams.Previously, I managed strategic global and key forwarder accounts, developing customer-specific strategies, driving revenue growth, and building long-term partnerships through face-to-face engagement and structured account planning. I also have experience in BCO portfolio and tender management, handling end-to-end sales cycles, pricing negotiations, and commercial decision-making in a global carrier environment.Earlier in my career, I built a strong operational foundation through roles in customer service and booking, managing all cargo types including dry, reefer, OOG, and IMO shipments. This hands-on operational background allows me to approach commercial decisions with a practical, execution-focused mindset.
