A skilled scientific professional. As a highly motivated and customer orientated scientific professional I have gained significant experience in various aspects of a bioanalytical forensic laboratory. Utilising excellent communication skills, I developed and maintained successful working relationships with both internal and external staff. I am enthusiastic, driven, hard-working and reliable, capable of approaching problems in an analytical and logical way, with an appreciation of the need for accuracy and attention to detail. Currently in my role as a Laboratory Project Services Manager I am responsible for global clinical trials and act as primary customer contact. Previously I have managed Forensic analysis, Quality and Health & Safety for the Occupational Drugs Testing team at LGC. The team tests urine, oral fluid and hair for commonly abused drugs and steroids. Whilst my role originally involved final result sign-off, analytical data checks and the production of technical witness statements, my desire to make improvements led me to take ownership of other areas such as quality and training. As the highest performing team in the company dealing with thousands of samples a week with short TRT's the environment was extremely fast paced and with ISO 17025 accreditation and the socially responsible nature of the work, maintaining a high level of quality and integrity was paramount - and I was responsible for ensuring this. I have overseen trials for food manufacturers and government gaining experience in quality control and assurance, study set-up, trend analysis, cross communication, time management, root cause analysis, CAPA, customer complaint resolution, investigations and auditing. Over the last year I acted effectively as team leader for 3 months during which time I was not only the main customer contact but also responsible for virtually every team decision. The experience has inspired me to grow and seek out new experiences.
