About Alta Sacra

I’m an AuDHD social worker who brings together research, professional practice, and lived experience to strengthen wellbeing, access, and inclusion for neurodivergent and disabled people.I work alongside tāngata whānau whaikaha Māori, disabled people, families, and organisations across Aotearoa, with a focus on strengthening access, participation, safety, and wellbeing. This includes both systemic advocacy and intentional one-to-one practice that creates space for understanding, regulation, decision-making, and growth within the realities of complex social and service systems. My work is grounded in a rights-based approach guided by Te Tiriti o Waitangi, the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD), the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), and the Enabling Good Lives (EGL) vision and principles. It is informed by lived experience, community leadership, and formal training across social work, education, disability, and mental health. I focus on undertaking mahi that treats accessibility and participation as foundational rather than optional, recognises disabled people as experts in our own lives, and supports thoughtful, collaborative, and ethically grounded practice.🧠‍🫱‍🫲
