About Alvaro Cubides

I’m a strategic HR and Organizational Development professional with a passion for building equitable, people-centered workplaces. With over a decade of experience across the public, nonprofit, and private sectors, I specialize in aligning people strategy with organizational goals—whether that means leading change management efforts, developing workforce and leadership pipelines, or designing inclusive policies that drive engagement and retention. My work is grounded in a deep commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and anti-racism (EDIA). As a FUSE Executive Fellow with the LA County Department of Health Services, I’ve helped develop systemwide curriculum, reimagine hiring and succession strategies, and strengthen cross-departmental collaboration for a workforce of over employees. Previously, I led HR operations, employee relations, and organizational development efforts in both consulting and corporate settings.I bring curiosity, heart, and data-driven insight to everything I do—whether coaching leaders, launching learning programs, or facilitating transformation from within. Let’s build better workplaces, together.
