About Alvin Chen

I have years of work experience in the field of sales, marketing, and E-commerce. I devoted my expertise to recreational gears like outdoor and cycling gears for 7 years. I was appointed head of retail sales, B2C sales, and content creation. During this time I was entrusted with the responsibility of developing direct sales channel, creating impactful contents and broadcast them strategically, and also mplemented E-commerce for the companies and managed customer relationship for them. Being the rst employee of Snow Peak company, I helped set up its logistic channel, built up retailer channel, implementing ERP system, managed sta recruitment & training, and took care of its marketing campaign. Because we were able to adjust operating strategy and work closely with our retailer. We were able to double the sales volume in the second year. In the third year, our branch oce were among the top of all foreign sales of Snow Peak company. When B2B sales became stable, I started to focus on B2C business. Duties include setting up official website, intiate Ecommerce platform, setting up customer service team & after service team, raise brand awareness by collaborating with dierent brands, and was in charge of all marketing campaigns. In order to be closer to the consumer, in 2016 I set up the very rst direct store in a major department store in Xin-Yi district. It marks a milestone for the brand as well as for my personal achievement. In 2019 I joined Specialized Taiwan as marketing manager, it was when the company had just decided to adjust its business by shouting down direct stores and shift its business focus to retailers and open its own online store. So I also took care of the project of website renewal. Being a member of Asia-hub region, Taiwan fell under direct control of Singapore and had to abide by its regional stategy. During this time I worked with colleague from Singapore on multiple marketing initiatives and E-commerce related projects. Having the privilege to take part in the conversation of strategy planning, decision making, and learning from counterparts in the other countries was a bless. Whilst ideas and plannings from the other countries may not always be able to adapt locally, we managed to convert some practices to fit local taste and launched several campaigns. The process of implementing Shopify website and initiated online shopping was not an easy one. But I coordinated IT and technical support from Taichung and Singapore respectively, to help facilitate the project.
