After a great tenure at Andres Electronics Experts, I’m thrilled to be with Urban Systems Ltd. as an Administrative Assistant. What excites me most about Urban? Two things: the spirit of service for vibrant communities and the incredible people who make it happen. It's a place where I can truly grow and contribute. At Andres Electronics, I worked as a Business Account Retentionist. My role involved collaborating closely with two executive sales team members: our Andres TELUS Business Corporate Sales Manager and TELUS Business Account Manager. Together, we ensured our business clients were satisfied with the products and services provided, so we could meet their evolving needs. Success in this role was all about building strong relationships and being trusted advisors to our clients. In my previous role as Receptionist for the Community Services Department at Tk'emlúps te Secwépemc, I was eager to engage with their culture while advancing my professional development. During this time, I learned some Secwepemctsin, attended a Lateral Kindness workshop, and completed an Indigenous End of Life course through Douglas College. These enriching experiences broadened my perspective. Kamloops is my hometown. After high school, I ventured to Vancouver to attend Blanche MacDonald's Global Make Up Artistry program. Although I discovered it wasn’t my true calling, I continue to pursue my creative passions outside of work, keeping my cup full. Outside of the office, I find fulfillment in balancing modern and traditional lifestyles. I enjoy practicing hot yoga, hiking, and cooking. Additionally, I attend ceremonies and powwows, while also learning traditional dance, creating regalia, and mastering the art of beadwork. In terms of achievements, I attended the Generation Power graduation ceremony in fall 2022, a training program for Indigenous youth in the clean energy sector. I've also completed a Digital Marketing Foundations Associate Certificate through BCIT for Business + Media. Furthermore, I earned my Administrative Assistant Professional Certificate through UNBC and plan to pursue my WSET2 certification with Fine Vintage Ltd. to enhance my palate and connect with fellow enthusiasts in the Thompson Okanagan region.
