I have been working in the Customer Service industry for over four years. I have experience working with minimal supervision. I have experience working both in the office and on the floor answering customers inquiries, and handling conflict situations within assigned boundaries and redirecting customers to appropriate resources as necessary. My previous employment entailed office administrative operations, such as answering phones, checking emails, explaining booking procedures, general office upkeep, and maintaining records. I excel in both verbal and written communications. In my previous place of employment, I provided detail of our products and promotions using simplistic language as a large portion of our customers spoke English as a Second Language. I pride myself on how well I can manage and organize my time. I can work well independently to accomplish my tasks or as a group. At my previous place of employment, I had tasks designated directly to me that I had to finish before a deadline. Another duty of mine was to lead employees and train them to complete tasks individually and efficiently. I was required to develop strategies our department would use to reach our goal. This was done through communicating clear instructions to team members and handling complaints and suggestions from both staff and customers. Another important aspect of my duties was to ensure that the store was opened and closed according to the established procedures. Volunteering at the hospital helped me to understand the importance of confidentiality. It is also important that I am capable of working with individuals of different backgrounds and able to create a cohesive and open environment, in which they feel they are able to confide in me. I am also empathetic and patient when working within a team setting and discussing personal needs of an individual.
