About Alyssa Engebretson

I’m a Human Resources Assistant at the beloved Wisconsin Union at the University of Madison (terrace chair emojis) In this role I help our student recruiting efforts for our dining & hospitality, building support, arts & activities and administrative support units. I update our student job site, schedule hiring meetings, and attend tabling events around campus. I also help onboard students and full time staff. One of my favorite parts of the job is learning about student’s passions and connecting them with directorate groups and/or events and activities taking place at the Union. These extracurriculars enhance their college experience and build lifelong friendships. I’m a part of a variety of projects and efforts, such as policy and procedure reviews, tracking performance reviews, data analysis, and the implementation of new processes and systems within the our office.
