About Alyssa Enns

I attend Brock university for an MSc in Applied Health Science with a specialization in Kinesiology. My research lab investigates positive body image with reference to different distinct demographics (i.e. older adults, cancer patients and teenagers). I graduated with a BA in Psychology which taught me the science of human behaviour. Through my degree I earned experience as a research assistant in the Neurocognitive Ageing lab which investigates cognitive and neural changes involved with human ageing. I intend to combine my learned understanding of human behaviour with kinesiology, the field of human movement. I have strong interpersonal communication, time management and a teamwork based mindset. One key element of teaching is using strong interpersonal skills to relate to diverse people. Time management is very important when hosting classes or workshops. Creating a collaborative and teamwork oriented environment is a huge component to success. I actively search for mentors who are willing to work with me and teach me their own tools for success.
