About Alyssa Ermish

Working in a non-profit organization, I have learned to juggle a lot of roles and grow as a sharp, agile employee in the marketing field. I have also learned how to perform as an outstanding social media manager and writer. Part of my responsibilities in my previous role included building upon the rich legacy of the Black Hills and Badlands Tourism Association and helping ensure that our region stays relevant on an international stage. During my time with BHB I have accomplished that and, with a lot of hard work and the help of an amazing team, propelled BHB’s content and social media to match and outperform many of our heavy-hitting competitors in the travel and tourism industry.In my three years of social media, I grew the Black Hills and Badlands Instagram by more than 60% organically. I also made sure post interactions stayed steady during this amazing growth period. Average Instagram post like count grew 60% and BHB’s average engagement rate for FY21 was 8.27%.Beyond my work as social media manager, I also amplified and strengthened BHB brand awareness by writing over 100 articles for the Black Hills and Badlands Travel Blog and increasing the average article read time on BlackHillsBadlands.com to 3:52—the highest it has ever been. Additionally I gained experience in events and content curation, trade show coordination, logistics, photography, graphic design, and copywriting experience in digital, print and television advertising as well as in-house publications. One of the things that matters most to me in a work environment is the opportunity to work with a hard-working team of people excited to collaborate, give it their all, and cheer one another on in their successes. One of my major goals in my career right now is to keep moving forward as a social media manager and writer and to find a team that will help me grow as a professional. In 5 years, I’d like to be a well-rounded, balanced worker at the top of her field. I know I can make it happen and that my skills and values are worth the investment.
