About Alyssa Gonnella

Hello, I’m Alyssa Gonnella. I am currently a 5th-year architecture student at Virginia Tech and am looking for a job after graduation, in May 2024. I am a hard-working, enthusiastic, and trustworthy individual with strong interpersonal and communication skills. I have a pssion for architectural design and restoration, real estate, and residential construction.I grew up in Charlottesville, Virginia, and have had various part-time jobs and internships throughout school. Most recently, I have worked for two residential construction/renovation companies as a carpenter/designer, completed a full-time internship with an architecture firm, and have become a licensed real estate agent. As an architect student, I have developed many specific skills, like leadership, drawing, rendering, and modeling that I could bring to a company. have experience with CAD, Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Enscape. Working as a carpenter throughout the years, I understand how buildings are built and what is needed for structural aspects, which has helped my architectural career. In my spare time, I really like to work out, cook, and spend time with family and friends. I enjoy many sports, like running, weight-lifting, and soccer. I am involved in Habitat for Humanity, the Preservation Community at Virginia Tech, and the American Sign Language Club at Virginia Tech.I look forward to joining a company and experiencing the career I have worked for.
