About Alyssa Jaynes

I am an undergraduate student at the University of North Texas pursuing a BA Biology degree with an interest in medical practices. I am expected to graduate in May of 2023. I am looking for an internship or job within the medical field. You can contact me at alyssajaynes@my.unt.edu. I am currently in my junior year at the University of North Texas where I have recently transferred from Texas State University. It is my goal to become active on campus and get involved in the medical community as much as I can before graduation. As a pre-med student I am very well versed in medical terminology and basic biological functions. In the summer of 2019, I shadowed my uncle who is a plastic surgeon in his own clinic, where I gained knowledge in terminology, procedure, and even got some hands-on experience. I would like to find more opportunities like this to be able to strengthen my skills that are necessary for an internship or job in a clinical setting. Although I have yet to complete any internships within the field, I am very eager to learn, grow and reach my goals within the medical community.
