About Alyssa King

I am a graduate Marine Biology Major and Psychology Minor who attended Waynesburg University, interested in marine mammal care and training. I have experience from a sixteen-week Animal Care & Training internship at the US Navy Marine Mammal Program (San Diego, California) and twelve-week Animal Care & Training internship at the Institute of Marine Mammal Studies (Gulfport, Mississippi) that allowed me to shadow and work hands-on with their resident animals and trainers. I have vital leadership experience from my two years as a Resident Assistant at Waynesburg as well as being apart of the Waynesburg Cross Country and Track & Field teams. I have had the opportunity to volunteer at our Marine Biology Lab on campus to aid in the maintenance and diet preparations of all the tanks. Being in a STEM career I have learned numerous lab and communication skills from all of my lab courses over the years. I am very passionate about the work I do and use my skills to work wholeheartedly to complete any project or work I am assigned to do in the most effective way.
