About Alyssa Mora

As an educator, I strive to engineer meaningful learning experiences that push students to discover their unique potential. I am passionate about inspiring students in their academic journey, which is why I believe it is important to establish rapport and build connections that make them feel safe and cared for all the while guiding them through rigorous instruction. I graduated from Cal State Long Beach in 2021 with my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Sociology. During that time, I knew I was passionate about helping people in my community, particularly kids. I had the opportunity to work several jobs in which I got to interact with children regularly, including at after-school programs, tutoring, and as a preschool teacher. This led to my increased interest in working as an educator. In 2022, I enrolled at Western Governor's University for their Master's Program. I currently am studying to receive my Master's Degree in Elementary Education, as well as my California Teaching Credential. I was fortunate to land a position as a Substitute Teacher within the Garden Grove Unified School District, where my passion for teaching has only grown. Though I eagerly anticipate my graduation date, I continue to be thankful for the experience by which I've gained so much insight.
