About Alyssa Pampell Manis

I am an applied mathematician and computational research scientist with an interest in mathematical modeling applied to problems in the physical sciences. My expertise includes optimizing and advancing numerical models of the orbital debris environment. I am also experienced in data analysis and data visualization, advancing techniques to make model data more meaningful and find new ways to approach questions.I am a natural "question-asker," and in trying to understand the background of a new problem or project, I often find and suggest ways to improve the current approach. My initiative and versatility and the breadth of my applied mathematics background makes me well-poised to take on challenges in a variety of scientific areas.
