About Alyssa Pike

Hi there! I'm a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and Communicator interested in telling a better story when it comes to food, nutrition and health. My work has spanned mass health and nutrition communications via my roles at the International Food Information Council and EatingWell all the way to individual counseling sessions through my practice and blog Gratefully Nourished®. I've had the opportunity to translate nutrition research into consumer-friendly language, execute compelling digital media communications, deliver consumer research initiatives that provide insights on what Americans think about food and health, and work with people struggling along the spectrum of disordered eating and eating disorders.I am most fulfilled when given the opportunity to help people expand their definition of health and learn how to make nourishing, practical and enjoyable food choices, regardless of the setting. I want people to eat healthy but not obsess over what they eat - you know?Areas of expertise: Food and Nutrition Science Translation and Communications, Digital & Social Media Communications & Content Creation, Editorial Management, Stakeholder Engagement and Nutrition Counseling.
