About Alyssa Wilcox

I began learning to code through books and online resources in 2013 and became passionate about it right away. My greatest strengths are my problem solving skills and love of learning, which serve me well as a software developer. When a bug or problem stumps me, I always have confidence that I can find the solution, whether through research, consulting with peers, or sheer force of debugging.I have been fortunate to have had wonderful co-op opportunities in software and web development during my time at university, where I received guidance from experienced developers in applying the skills and theoretical knowledge I have accrued to working on a large production software application where performance and security are critical. I am currently looking for a full-time position where I can apply my passion and experience and continue to grow my knowledge and skills.
