About Amadeo Vella

The fields of technology and engineering have always been a fascination of mine. Since I was at a very young age, I used to dismantle electronic gadgets and try to modify and experiment on things, aiming to improve - I always liked challenging opportunities. I still embrace that thrill today as since 2006 I have taken up various technical, regulatory, coordinating and managerial roles with the Maltese telecommunication regulator. Apart from the technical and coordination-related duties, as a specialist in the field of electronic communications engineering, I also represent the Maltese Government in several international forums advising on the appropriate course of action to safeguard Malta’s interests. In 2021 I embarked on a journey leading to an MSc in Engineering Management which equipped me with the required skill set to succeed in today’s VUCA world. In particular, working within the services industry for the past two decades, I have recognised that investing in human capital is key to organisational success. In fact, my passion and interest in the human capital field have paved way to explore further how to improve employee performance and performance management in general.
