About Amaechi Ejim

As we all know, the world that we live in is constantly changing. I personally believe, that not only must we adapt as as citizens of this world, but we all have to be mindful of the footprint that we are leaving here on this Earth. Within the past 50 years, the textile industry has grown immensely and a key factor of that is sustainability. There have been many opportunities for profits to be made with newer advancements in technology. My interest for the sustainable world has grown substantially within the past 10 years. One of the main reasons for that is the fact that many athletic retailers have incorporated newer technologies into there products. In 2013, major brand Adidas, released what was known as boost technology which completely altered the world’s perception of what comfort truly is. In 2020, I received my Associates degree in the Textile Development & Marketing program from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Upon receiving my degree, I knew I wanted my profession to not only align, but also exercise the elements of what I was taught during my time in school. My experience continued closer towards the very end of 2022, as a sales/stock representative at Levi’s Strauss. Since July of 2023, I have been working at major sports brand, Adidas. During my almost 3 year retail experience, I have learned many interesting aspects of not only the textile world, but also the means of what it is to be a business man in the present time.
