About Aman Sinha

I am currently serving the Intellectual Property Divison of the High Court of Delhi as a Judicial Law Clerk cum Law Researcher. I assist the IP Division in matters involving the intersection of law and technology. I was selected to be the first Law Researcher in the IP Division. The exposure I get in this role is unparalleled, and I am relishing the challenge of constantly needing to learn, un-learn and re-learn. Before serving the court, I served Robert Bosch India as an Intellectual Property Counsel. I was part of the Global Patent Information group at Bosch and conducted Patent Analytics activities. Additionally, I was involved with spreading awareness about Intellectual Property within engineering units to promote the growth of IP filings in quantitative and qualitative ways. I regularly participated in deliberations involving contracts, particularly IP clauses in contracts, licensing frameworks and IP enforcement. I was actively keeping tabs on the legal developments in allied fields like Data Protection, Technology Policy, Mergers & Acquisitions and Government Affairs. I am dual-qualified as both a lawyer and an engineer. Before joining my present role, I did a 3-year LL.B. with honours in Intellectual Property Laws from the Rajiv Gandhi School of Intellectual Property Law at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. Before this, I was skilled with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, majoring in Information Technology from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. I am actively engaged by various organisations and think tanks to deliver seminars on issues such as the Role of AI in the IPR Industry, Balancing IP Rights with the Right to Health etc. At the same time, I regularly attend webinars and conferences on relevant topics to enhance my knowledge base. I am interested in Constitutional Law, Data Protection regulations, Technology Law, FinTech aspects, Competition Law, and Corporate Governance. I often advise Government Departments, startups and content creators on a pro-bono basis. I keenly look for new challenges in the Legal & Intellectual Property sectors to apply my skills and experiences. I believe the mantra for success is perseverance with a scoop of creativity.
