About Amanda Adams

I'm an energetic professional with diverse skills and experiences in the field of behavioral science. My expertise lies in experimental, clinical, and neurocognitive psychology. I have experience both as a researcher and treatment provider. Currently, I'm a qualified mental health professional in North Carolina, serving high-needs clients with severe mental illness. I'm responsible for assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, advocacy, rehabilitation, and state and federal treatment compliance. This is a fast-paced and demanding job that has refined my prioritization and problem-solving abilities. Previously, I've worked as a research assistant with both human and animal subjects. I'm comfortable with the hands-on nature of research, and I enjoy seeing a project from beginning to end. Additionally, I've worked for a neurohabilitative learning clinic, assessing and designing treatment for clients with significant learning impairments. Last but not least, I have experience in an inpatient/medical setting as a behavioral health intern. These opportunities have helped me develop critical thinking, attention to detail, flexibility, and leadership. Mentors know me as accountable, reliable, and honest. Colleagues know me as cooperative, creative, and personable. I love learning new things and work best when challenged.
