About Amanda Amato

I hold a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education, K-3 from Otterbein University. Current 1st-grade teacher. I am pleased to say that I have graduated from Otterbein University, as the University has done an exceptional job with allowing their Education students to experience a number of different teaching placements. I have developed a widespread set of skills and knowledge. My practices have allowed me to build quality lesson plans connected to the common core, with differentiated instruction, and implement effective classroom management. All doing so by building rapport with students, staff, and families. I have also had the pleasure to practice the use of technology in the classroom. Some pieces of technology that I have became familiar with include: the SmartBoard, Elmo, Remind app, video cameras, Scootpad, Ipods, and Microsoft Word, and google mail. My supervisors have commended my hard work ethic, my ability to build rapport with my students and staff members and make a presence in the classroom, I have been praised for my exceptional classroom management, in which supervisors say comes naturally to me. I have been acknowledged for developing creative and engaging lesson plans in which I present in many different modalities. I understand that each child learns differently so differentiated instruction and assessments are necessary. I believe that the skills I have acquired and my and passion for teaching will make me a perfect fit for the right school district. I am a lifetime learner and will continue to grow as I learn from students, peers, and faculty.
