I am proud of myself for these no doubt, but before you read about what qualifications I have and whether or not I fit the role you're looking to fill; I would like to tell you a little piece of my story. I started working for AutoZone in high school. It was never my plan to stay 20 years. AutoZone supported me and encouraged me to pursue my degree in Education all while allowing me to work full time. I graduated in 2009 and finding a position was tough. It was also a scary environment for teachers. I didn't have an interview without the up front conversation that if they made cuts, I would be the first to go. I started taking retail management more seriously. I learned about different leadership styles. I learned to work with all types of people. I created work environments that employees and customers alike found appealing. I learned about the different levels of the company structure and realized I could still put my degree to use. I began to focus not just on the teaching part, but the growth, development and the positive impact I had on people because I cared. My career life thus far has been phenomenal. I chose to stay with AutoZone and in return they invested in me. I earned my SHRM certification with their support. I have been apart of an amazing company, mentored by some of the best in the industry and encouraged, supported and recognized for my talent. The time has now come to make my own path and break into the HR world. So, here I am. Looking for my next and hopefully last place to call home. As you can see with 20 years at AutoZone, loyalty is in my blood. It's the product of strong relationships, growth and a successful team.
