About Amanda Bateman

I am a recent graduate of Plymouth State University with a Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science and Policy and minor in Biology. My primary interest areas in the Environmental Science field are sustainability and environmental outreach. I obtained a presidential position of Common Ground, the environmental science and social justice student organization at Plymouth State University, where we focused on promoting sustainability, green living, and environmental awareness on campus. Our goal was to teach the young generation about the effects of climate change on our environment and the things that we could do to sustain our future. I also interned with the White Mountain National Forest Service working in the conservation education department. I worked on organizing the resource department making them easily available for the staff and developing lesson plans, with topics relating to conservation education, that could be used by teachers and other instructor in an easy and efficient way. My past work experiences, leadership work in environmental student organizations, and a diverse college career in Environmental Science and Biology allowed me to use my extensive knowledge to work well with individuals in a team setting and get work done in a timely and high quality manner.
