About Amanda Becker

I received my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in May of 2022 from Old Dominion University (ODU). In May of 2019, I completed my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with a concentration in Exercise Science and a minor in Pre-Physical Therapy from James Madison University (JMU). I graduated from JMU with the Latin honors of Summa Cum Laude and with distinction in kinesiology for a research project I completed through the Honors College. While at JMU, I was in the sorority Alpha Delta Pi and presented in a conference that showcased work I had completed in the General Education program. In January 2021, I earned my Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) certification. Upon receiving this certification, I began working at the ODU Student Recreation Center as a personal trainer and fitness specialist. I have previous work experience in the retail industry that has helped me to develop interpersonal skills that I have applied to my training experiences.
