About Amanda Black

I love change that embraces opportunity and equality and moves us towards a fairer, more sustainable and more connected society. As a coach, I help women explore and realise their purpose, wisdom and strength through their peri and post-menopausal years. I trained intensively with One of Many and embrace their approach to gift a million women worldwide with the tools to lead and change their village, whatever and wherever that may be. I have coached groups at menopause retreats and women at all stages of their adult life. I am still excited by the role technology plays in connection, and how that beautifully supports my coaching role and the growth of my midlife years community. I have enjoyed a 25 year career that has been focussed on harnessing technology and enhancing collaboration and communication in ways that enable more feminine models of leadership and growth. As an e-learning specialist for 25 years, I have worked with government agencies, the Department for Education and Universities on their approaches to embedding technology enhanced learning. I have led national, cross-agency projects in in e-assessment, e-portfolios; and the development of a shareable, personalised space for post 14 education. More recent work has developed aspects of building collaborative learning communities; encouraging engagement and interaction online, and shifting the learning conversation to include more of the learner context. To support the digital literacies of student and academic colleagues, I led my team of learning technologists to undertake the Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching in Higher Education so they could support course teams in the classroom; and developed an online digital teaching and learning literacies course to provide a baseline of confidence and competence for lecturers to build upon.
