About Amanda Blackburn

Passionate and driven Assistant Headteacher with extensive experience in leading whole-school initiatives and supporting students through key transitional phases. Currently serving as Head of Key Stage 3, I am committed to delivering high-quality education and fostering an inclusive, positive learning environment. My leadership portfolio includes PSHE and RSE Lead, ensuring comprehensive and impactful personal, social, health, and relationships education, and Transition Lead, where I have developed and implemented innovative strategies to support students’ move into Key Stage 3. As Behaviour Lead, I work closely with students, staff, and parents to create a culture of respect and high expectations. In addition, I oversee our Outreach Programmes to strengthen school-community partnerships, manage our Social Media presence to enhance communication and reputation, and line manage the MFL Department, supporting staff development and curriculum innovation. Dedicated to continuous improvement, I am committed to equipping young people with the skills, resilience, and ambition to succeed both academically and personally.
