About Amanda Blais

Through my training in both History and Education at Otterbein University and my field experiences I am certain that I can have a positive impact on students and any school I may be a part of. Through teaching history and I have been able to set up students to achieve their future goals by helping them to acquire skills such as collaboration, inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking. Through student teaching I have increased my skills in planning, talking to students, classroom management, implementing lessons, and gaining the trust and respect of students. Not only have I increased these skills but I have acquired new ones such as being certified in Project Based Learning. My goal is to challenge students to grow to their full potential and teach them the history that they need to know while helping them to grow in other skills that will be carried to their future. While I am passionate about history, my true passion lies with the students and helping them to reach their full potential and prepare them to be citizens of the world.
