About Amanda Blondeau

With over 20 years of experience in the CDFI industry, I lead strategic initiatives at Northern Initiatives, where we provide capital and business support services to entrepreneurs throughout Michigan. As Chief Strategy Officer, I drive innovation in how we deliver capital and know-how to small business owners who create jobs and help their communities thrive. I spearheaded the development of Initiate, our online business education platform that has transformed how CDFIs and mission lenders deliver business advisory services across the United States. The platform, combined with our high-touch coaching approach, continues to evolve under dedicated leadership while supporting entrepreneurs and building the capacity of business advisors nationwide. Currently serving on the Board of the CDFI Coalition and the Michigan CDFI Coalition Policy Committee, I actively advocate for policies that strengthen community development finance and improve support for underserved entrepreneurs, particularly through the SBA Microloan program. My unique background spans technology, business advisory services, operations, and advocacy, allowing me to bridge the gap between strategic vision and practical implementation.
