About Amanda Bryan

Having lived in the Wiregrass most of my life, this area holds a very special place in my heart. It was my dream growing up to make an impact in Wiregrass and to give back to the community that I love so dearly. I started that journey by graduating from the one and only, Troy University with a degree in broadcast journalism and joined the WTVY news team shortly after graduating. Working with the number one news leader in the Wiregrass as a morning anchor, reporter, producer and web director, I was given the opportunity to collaborate with community leaders and officials. Being in these positions, I was expected to effectively organize community needs for overall project marketing success. I was able to form strong relationships and ties to the community and develop a reputation for having excellent interpersonal and verbal skills, while being able meet deadlines and respond to patrons of the Wiregrass in a helpful and caring manner. I am an accomplished, self-directed media and marketing professional with an extensive record of professional success in leading comprehensive programs and initiatives. I have a solid grasp on broadcast media and how to create and implement brand promotion and advertising campaigns. I continued my journey to make an impact in Dothan by joining the Dothan City Schools Dothan Tech team, as the TV Video Production teacher servicing Dothan High School students grades ten through 12. I have successfully taken the career tech program and developed and implemented curriculum and software training in challenging corporate classroom and online environments for students. In this position, I have been in charge of planning, managing, and coordinating school events and athletic programs to service the students of Dothan High School, as well as the community. I have secured speakers and contacts for students to help them further their future, whether it be in college or entering the workforce after graduation. Both of these titles have been so rewarding. I have excelled in the fast-paced environment that both working with the WTVY News 4 and also a high school media teacher both require. I am able to multitask and handle multiple projects at once, all while keeping a positive attitude and boosting team morale.
