Background

About Amanda Burkitt

I am currently an Operations Superintendent for LP in Sagola, MI. During my service in the military I received Soldier of the Year and volunteered for numerous amounts of training outside of my MOS as an aircraft mechanic. I was a team lead at GM and in my time there utilized my strength to make my department more efficient while lessening the amount of scrap produced. I was rewarded with Employee of the Month and several Eagle Eye awards for pinpointing safety related and efficiency related areas. I continued working my degree program at Davenport University and after graduation (during the peak of covid) I was able to successfully hire into Amazon and work nights as an Area Manager. Due to personal family reasons, I moved to great Upper Peninsula of Michigan and worked for FMM as an Area Manager running the paint department, and soon into my role, was also interim Trade Manager for the remainder of my time there. I enjoy taking on new task and developing not just a team of employees but relationships that can build up and in turn develop an area that companies cant train for. Integrity and leadership are my overall strengths.
