About Amanda Casillas

As a Clinical Research Coordinator, I currently provide coordination support for federally funded research grants in the Collaborative START Lab at the UC Davis MIND Institute. Since becoming employed with the UC Davis Health System in 2015, I have had the opportunity and pleasure of working alongside world renowned researchers in the field of autism research. Over the years, I have worked on multiple research projects in both the department of Public Health Sciences and the department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. I am passionate about providing exceptional support and positive experiences to all research participants. My previous work experience in Applied Behavior Analysis and naturalistic developmental behavioral interventions (NDBI), including the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), has given me a unique insight that I have carried into my role as a clinical research coordinator. Having provided behavioral interventions and support for autistic children and their families for over 10 years, I remain motivated to offer the most positive experience as possible to the families and providers whom I serve. I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute to autism intervention science in a different realm as a clinical research coordinator.
