About Amanda Chen Dierickse

I recently graduated Summa Cum Laude from the McMaster University BScN program, where I completed over 700 hours of clinical placements. My passion for pediatrics is evident through over 400 hours of clinical practice in multi-organ transplant and medical specialties at SickKids Hospital and in maternity at Grand River Hospital. I am dedicated to community improvement, demonstrated by my active participation in fundraisers such as The Million Reasons Run, which supports Canadian children's hospitals. Additionally, I have been engaged in university clubs and activities and served as the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Officer for the McMaster University Nursing Students' Society. My academic excellence and commitment to community service have been recognized through awards such as The Legacy Foundation Scholarship, The Ross and Doris Dixon Scholarship, and the Pioneer Energy LP Prize in Nursing.
