About Amanda Dangelo

My name is Amanda D'Angelo and I am an ESL teacher in DC. After finishing my bachelor's degree in 2017 I received a Fulbright scholarship to teach English in Spain for the 2017-2018 school year. Upon completion of this I moved to DC to start my master's degree and began teaching as an ESL teacher. I have become very passionate about social-emotional learning in school and have lead social-emotional instruction with my grade level and also have started a Mindfulness Club after school with students. Mindfulness Club is a once a week one hour long club where students learn the Peace of Mind Curriculum centered on emotional regulation, solving problems, building friendships and more. We also do some light movement and stretching during the club sessions and finish with some meditation. I organized some school-wide yoga and meditation events during virtual learning as well. I finished my second master's degree program in educational leadership from the American College of Education. I now hold an administration license in DC along with my childhood education and ESL education license. I have also become certified in yoga and teach at Corepower Yoga, enjoying running in my free time and baking!
