About Amanda Drexler

A highly motivated student of English Literature who is currently finishing her Bachelor of Arts and K-12 New Jersey Teaching Certification at Ramapo College of New Jersey. She is a Student Intern at Hawthorne High School and teaches a variety of classes: College Prep Senior English, Journalism 1, 2, and 3, Study of Film, and Future Careers/Teachers. The variety in the classes she currently teaches has expanded her areas of expertise in terms of content. As a high-achieving student, she is a member of the Sigma Tau Delta International English Honors Society and the Tau Sigma National Transfer Student Honors Society. Her passion for writing and storytelling inspire her as a teacher. With her background being primarily in child care, being a role model and a mentor are skills she has fostered for over 8 years. Amanda understands that every student is unique and has different needs in the classroom. Her lessons are interactive and cater to classroom differentiation. Her proficiency in Educational Technology and her drive as a learner help her craft creative lessons that students enjoy in her current internship placement. Amanda offers a unique set of skills and experience, making her an effective and knowledgable future educator.
