About Amanda Eaker

I got into HR because I'm people-obsessed, and my administrative background was the perfect springboard. Here's why. The past 10 years have given me an unbelievably well-rounded professional perspective with vastly differing workplaces. I've worked in an affordable housing non-profit space, a high-risk disability insurance company, a higher education HQ, and a technology startup. There's been one common thread I found myself gravitating toward and leaning into as time went on: people. I'm a go-getter, so once I put my finger on it, I started actively pursuing a career path in HR and earned my aPHR certification. Simply put, I love people. They're the fabric of a company's culture. The reason I do what I do - the reason I continually research policies and build processes - is because I truly believe that when people feel supported, they're able to do their best work and perpetuate a healthy workplace for everyone. And what company doesn't want that?
