About Amanda Evans

I'm an AILA Registered Landscape Architect & Horticulturalist, currently, working at ACT Government, Urban Treescapes, where I'm able to use my experience in both Landscape Architecture, Heritage and Horticulture. I joined TCCS as an Urban Treescapes Design and Development coordinator and now as the Assistant Director Programs, working on planting 54 thousand trees across our urban environments by July 2024, and delivering on the ACT Government's 30% canopy by 2045 target. My consultancy Area Design Consultants (ADC), specialises in residential landscape design and heritage conservation management, design and assessment projects in Canberra and surrounding southern NSW. My botanical and horticultural knowledge of the region has allowed me to weave this through the design process thus creating positive user experiences and outcomes for the design of urban, suburban and peri-urban environments for both commercial and residential projects. In addition to more than thirty years experience in the nursery industry, I've worked in interior design, photography, graphic design and the fine arts industries and curated, designed and managed both design exhibitions and corporate events for various organisations.
