About Amanda Fowler

Amanda is currently a Principal Analyst with the DOJ Compliance Office in the County of Los Angeles' Chief Executive Office. Previously, Amanda managed the Oversight Commission Support Division of the City Attorney’s Office for the City of Pasadena and stood up the City's first-ever police oversight program and supported its Community Police Oversight Commission in its first three years. Before that, she was the Assistant to the City Manager/Community Engagement Manager for the City of San Marino, where she was a member of the City's executive team and focused on community engagement and communications, performance management, citywide special projects, and overseeing city clerk functions. Amanda was also a Senior Project Manager on the Mayor’s Innovation Team for the City of Los Angeles, which uses quantitative and qualitative data to understand problem areas and partner with City departments to implement user-centered projects and programs. While there, she led the development, implementation, and initial day-to-day operations of LAPD’s Pledge to Patrol Program, a $1 million employment and training program for LAPD youth program participants who want to become officers when they are age eligible in an attempt to hire more diverse and home-grown, community-oriented officers. She also led the process of creating gender equity action plans for 37 City departments. Before she began her career in the public sector, she was an Account Manager at Winner & Mandabach Campaigns, a political consulting firm specializing in ballot measure campaigns and public policy issues. She worked on over 10 statewide ballot measure campaigns and projects on a wide variety of topics, including clean energy, election reform, local services funding, natural resources funding, and business taxation. Amanda received her master's degree in Public Administration from the Sol Price School of Public Policy at USC. She participated in the City/County Management Fellowship Program and was Vice President of Women Leading Policy, Planning, and Development (WLPPD), a Price School student organization.
