About Amanda Grant

With over 7 years of work experience in various healthcare and customer service settings, I am a passionate and dedicated pharmacy intern at Kaiser Permanente, pursuing my Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. My core competencies include patient counseling, medication therapy management, compounding, and retail pharmacy operations. My mission is to provide high-quality, patient-centered, and evidence-based care to diverse populations, and to contribute to the advancement of the pharmacy profession. I value teamwork, collaboration, learning, and innovation, and I seek to bring my diverse perspectives and experiences to the Kaiser Permanente team. As a pharmacy intern at Kaiser Permanente, I perform comprehensive patient counseling sessions, execute triage duties during gaps in pharmacist coverage, and interview patients to obtain and document medication information. I also utilize my social networking, data entry, and communication skills to interact with patients, providers, and staff, and to ensure accurate and timely documentation and billing. Previously, I worked as a compounding and retail pharmacy intern at ONE Pharmacy, where I processed prescriptions and refill requests, compounded customized medications, and performed COVID tests and vaccine billing. Through these experiences, I have developed and demonstrated my clinical, technical, and interpersonal skills, and I have gained valuable insights into the challenges and opportunities in the pharmacy field.
