Results-oriented US Navy veteran with a high level of integrity, who possesses a strong work ethic and demonstrates a desire for excellence. 18 years’ experience working as either manager or craftsman within the metal and mechanical trades as a Navy Hull Technician, Boilermaker, and Pipefitter. Versatile and highly adaptable, work locations include power generation facilities, oil refineries, ships, process plants, high rise buildings, sewage treatment plants, paper mills and university dormitories. Executed new construction, maintenance and repair, including many emergency repairs in hazardous environments. Skilled supervisor adept at handling communications with and between subordinates, peers, unions, contractors, and owners. Detail oriented and committed to proper coordination and organization of project tasks to be able to bring projects in on time and within budget. Believes team work, empowerment, and diversity as some of the valuable assets needed in order to achieve success. I was raised in a family business where I learned to manage and lead at a young age. I worked and managed in the field of landscape and environmental Horticulture. I am a decorated Navy wartime veteran. I am a technical expert in Boilermaking and power generation, pipefitting and welding. I have held positions that women seldom hold. I graduated from Boilermaker's Local 29. I am only the second woman to graduate 29's apprenticeship since it's inception in the 60's. I received my Master's in Management with a concentration in construction. Statistically, only 0% of trades people obtain a master's degree! I am confident that I have the perfect blend of hands on trades work with academic learning and managerial experience.
