About Amanda Hardwick

I earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Elementary Education and a Master’s of Education in Educational Leadership. I completed a principal certification program through Schreiner University in the fall of 2016. This program allowed me to complete the requirements of the state of Texas to obtain the principal certification. That certification was achieved in January of 2017. I am currently enrolled with Baylor University pursuing my Ed.D in Learning and Organizational Change. I am currently serving as the Secondary ELAR Coordinator for Seguin ISD; however, during the 21-22 school year, I served as the Academic Dean of Jim Barnes Middle School where they saw growth in state accountability and student achievement. Prior to my time in Seguin ISD, I served as a District ELAR instructional Coach for Schultz Jr. High School in Waller ISD. In total, I spent 4 years as a district ELAR Instructional Coach at both the middle and high school levels in Bryan ISD and Waller ISD. My time as a teacher was spent in middle school ELAR, but no matter what district or position I have occupied, my ultimate goal is to help students be successful, knowledgeable citizens by cultivating an environment that emphasizes learning and development. The skills that I currently possess that will contribute to the vision of success are collaborative leadership, strategic planning with an emphasis on data analysis, empowering educators to build relational capacity with their students, a willingness to learn and share new ideas to further student success within a positive learning environment, dedication to student and teacher success with a sense of pride and ownership, and truly being a champion of students. I aspire to promote a culture that is open, transparent, and built around the students and their futures. To bring about this aspiration, I believe we must bring our community, parents, and teachers on board to foster a partnership with an emphasis on true collaboration and cooperation within the school environment. I feel that my knowledge and experience with 6-12 education and teacher mentorship have offered me a unique perspective and set of skills as an instructional leader.
